Cloncurry Police took to the myPolice Facebook Page to convey the message after eight drivers were charged over the weekend (June 27-28).
The post read, "Over the weekend Cloncurry Police charged eight motorists with drink and/or drug driving including one driver who was nearly four times over the legal limit."
"Cloncurry Police have recommenced static RBT and drug testing sites following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
"Don't risk your licence or the safety of other road users.
"Don't drink or drug drive. You will be caught!"
These incidences were followed by Queensland Police launch of a school holiday operation after four motorist deaths in the last 24 hours.
