Late last year the star trio were selected in the Cowboys under 18 feeder side Townsville Blackhawks.

But with the global pandemic hitting hard, the boys are back home, and back to the gym where it all began - John Doyle's Three Sons Fitness.

Doyle said although this year has been tough, it's good to be able to train the trio again.

"We have re-opened now and it's been fantastic to have the boys in and around the gym again, all the other students look up to them for a high standard," Doyle said.

"They have also been offered a run for the Capras in Rockhampton who are a feeder club for the Brisbane Broncos."

Doyle said his gym was running well and had a new program.

"Things are a little different with Covid but we have challenge programs again, elite performance academy again and ATODS program.

"The ATODS program is drug, alcohol and substance abuse program to try and give them better tools to make better choices all the while getting them fit and healthy, mentally, emotionally and physically."

Second rower Teurewera Potini, centre Simeona Tala-Sio and fullback Hayden Andrews will now continue to stay fit while they wait by the phone to find out their playing futures.
