President of Mount Isa Community Markets Necia Shonhan said she was over the moon about their return on Sunday - though it will be at a new location.
"We have been given the green light to host an outdoor market after a long time out of action," Ms Shonhan said.
"We will be setting up in the Simpson St post office carpark from 9am to 1pm on Sunday July 12."
Ms Shonhan said there was heaps planned.
"We have a fantastic day planned with food vendors and lots of market stalls who have been busy making new things while in lockdown," she said.
"We will also be adhering to a whole bunch of new COVID-19 rules to make sure this is a fun and safe event for all."
