Owner of Spyrou Tattoo and artist Chris Spyrou has had a tricky few months due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
"It was pretty brutal as we had to shut down for two months," Mr Spyrou said.
"We did all the general stuff you can do around the house and our shop with all the extra time, but I didn't want to just sit around so I actually got a job stacking shelves at Woolworths."
Mr Spyrou said government restrictions opened on July 1.
"Once the government decided to let us open we couldn't physically do it as it was so sudden and twelve days earlier than they predicted," he said.
"It all happened at once, but by the end of the week business was up and running."
Mr Spyrous said before COVID-19 business was booming.
"Before the pandemic I was booked out until August, but that threw a spanner into the works for bookings as people can only make certain times with shift work, holidays and time off," he said.
"I had to ring every single person in the book to see what each persons situation was, some people left town, others lost their jobs and a few could no longer afford a tattoo.
"Since we have been re-opened its been super busy, people have had time to think about their tattoos and some really cool designs have been drawn up.
"We have also been doing heaps of piercings and even have fashion for sale through my mates clothing label and they have been doing really well.
"Soon we have guest artists arriving to help out and add a different option for tattooing."
Mr Spyrou said there had been some changes since the pandemic.
"With regard to the post Covid world there has been some changes. No longer can people bring friends into the shop while they are having a tattoo done, there's now limits on how many people can be in the store," he said.
"Also I had to complete a Tafe course to ensure my shop complied with being Covid safe."
