A reboot of Virgin Australia has recommenced flights across Australia, as Bain Capital continues to bid for the ownership of the airline.
Virgin entered voluntary administration in April due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, but has recommenced flights to Mount Isa on Monday July 20.
A Virgin Australia Boeing 737 aircraft will returned three services a week between Mount Isa and Brisbane on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
A Virgin Australia Group spokesman said the resumption of services to Mount Isa would further boost intrastate connectivity while helping Australia's critical aviation sector to recover.
"We're thrilled to provide this vital connection between Brisbane and Mount Isa, adding over 4,500 seats per month into Central West Queensland," he said.
A flexible booking policy has also been updated for travellers added confidence, with Virgin Australia waiving applicable change fees for bookings with travel between now and 31 October 2020.
