Bugger, just as I am trying to travel from New South Wales to Queensland, a second wave of COVID-19 is hitting the country.

Yesterday I travelled from Wollongong NSW to Townsville, QLD in what was a strange experience to say the least.
At the beginning of the week, the COVID sequel was showing in most cinemas with Queensland shutting its borders to all of Victoria.
Then just days before my departure, hot spots were appearing both 50 minutes drive north and south of where I lived with Queensland shutting its borders to those infected council areas.
Day by day I was checking to see for any new updates, arbitrary laws or any spikes in my home state.
Fortunately I was allowed to take the flight to Brisbane Airport, which was met with complete chaos upon arrival.
As I walked off the plane there was army personnel everywhere, as well as police officers and border patrol.
There was a ridiculous sense of panic as patrol officers were yelling "get your border passes out" as passengers left the plane and walked through a guard of honour full of authoritative figures, for me to only realise I was transferring to Townsville at a gate behind me.
So I turned around to catch my transfer to Townsville.
Once I had landed, I was prepared for the same amount of commotion that was going on in Brisbane, but this time much to my dismay there was absolutely nothing.
Not a single army, police or border officer in sight.
I simply walked off grabbed my bags and headed out the door without having to show my border pass, give a temperature check or take a COVID test.
This left me bemused as I have now experienced more drama entering a pub on a Friday night then entering the most bio secure part of our nation.
Not that I have ever been overly alarmed by all the alarmism (99% of Covid cases are mild).
My journey has still left me with several questions.
Why was there only security in Brisbane Airport and not Townsville? does this mean that people from Victoria are entering unchecked into the most vulnerable part of Australia which is North Queensland?
If we are going to shut down society, destroy businesses and peoples' livelihoods then one would hope that every airport of Australia is given the same amount of jurisdiction and consistency so we can beat this virus and get on with our lives.
