The Julia Creek Bike Muster runs every Monday morning during the third term of school and provides school students with important safely lessons for using their bikes in and around town.
A Julia Creek police spokesperson said this week they started road safety.
"This week we started at the road safety training centre, and senior constable Josh gave the safety brief, together with sport and recreation officer Eden and Julia Creek State school principal Mr Jardine.
"From the day we took away three things, stop at stop signs, watch for cars and watch for emus," the spokesperson said.
"Julia Creek has three resident emus that also like to share the road as they wander through town.
"Julia Creek Police together with McKinlay Shire Council and Julia Creek State School, are committed to road safety awareness."
