With Mount Isa continuing to host a Virtual Rodeo, Commerce North West is supporting Rodeo Week by hosting their annual Best Dressed Premises competition.
Commerce North West manager and event organiser Emma Harman said they were hosting a virtual competition in 2020 to go with the Virtual Rodeo.
"Instead of being judged by a panel and rodeo queens, this year the best dressed premises will be judged by the public, online," Ms Harman said.
"We host this event every year so businesses, organisations and schools in Mount Isa, can get their premises dressed up for Rodeo Week.
"Which is nice to walk around the shops and enjoy the decorations, it helps create an atmosphere in town.
"Even if businesses just paint a hat or a horse on their window, it's just that sense of excitement and party that Rodeo Week normally has, which obviously isn't going to be in the same this year."

Ms Harman said the competition was not to make it harder for businesses.
"It is just to have some lighthearted fun and a little bit sense of normal," she said.
"Normally it is quite a big deal with people allocating an annual budget and going to a lot of effort. Staff get dressed up and people have been known to paper mache life size rocks and bring a load of dirt in from the creek and participants tend to go to as much effort as they wish.
"Although this year we are encouraging businesses not to spend too much money due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I would love it if people continued to go all out, but we are not expecting people to do it the same level as they usually would.
"It is low key and we are not playing for cattle stations this year."
To enter the competition, send an email to manager@commercenorthwest.com.au and Ms Harman will send you an entry form.
"If you are registered by us then you go into the competition to win some great prizes," Ms Harman said.
