Mount Isa City Council has been working towards live streaming Council meetings since 2019, but recording meetings continues to be put on hold.
Mayor Danielle Slade said everything was ready to go, just waiting on one "vital part to be delivered."
"Everything is done, the cameras are up in the chambers, the policy is done, we are just waiting on one little part to arrive," Cr Slade said.
"As soon as that part shows up we will be able to live stream and it will be exciting to finally do that."
Cr Slade discussed the process of live streaming the Council meetings.
"It will be recorded, then posted on our YouTube page and linked onto our Facebook page," she said.
"We were hoping to have this part by Wednesday July 22 council meeting, but it hadn't arrived."
Cr Slade said live streaming the Council meetings would provide greater transparency to Mount Isa.
"I believe there needs to be transparency between what Council are working on and community," she said.
"It will be great for the community. If they were wondering about a certain decision, they can go back and have a look at it and how councillors came to that decision.
"I think its going to be so transparent and locals will understand more what was involved for things to happen.
"There are a few councillors who are a bit uncertain about being live, which I understand it is daunting being on video and have people watching but I think it will become a habit soon."
