During the parade, Constable Tara Buckley handed over her position to Constable Kylie Ireland who was sworn in to be the 2020-2021 Adopt-A-Cop officer for Doomadgee State School.
The students were sad to say good-bye to Constable Buckley, who has been a welcomed and loved member of the school community.
During her time in Doomadgee, Constable Buckley has helped to shape healthy relationships between the students and police, and her presence at the school has had a positive effect.
Constable Ireland is looking forward to commencing her Adopt-A-Cop duties at the school.
