The Brophy's pop-up show has been set up on the vacant corner of Rodeo Drive and Camooweal St ready to bring rodeo weekend entertainment to the city.
Family patriarch Fred Brophy won't be there nor will his famous boxing tent but nephew Elliot Brophy said there will still be plenty of entertainment on offer in a Covid Safe environment having already safely delivered similar events in Cairns and Townsville.
Elliot Brophy told the North West Star there would be rides, games, show food and showbags taking over the city this weekend and you can grab a dagwood dog and fairy floss.
"We haven't worked for three months so we decided to do something different year with a pop-up show," Mr Brophy said.
"It's all Covid Safe, we've got a Covid plan approved by Queensland Health with sanitiser stations everywhere and one way in and one way out."
Brophy's pop-up show will be open Friday August 7 from 10am till 9pm.
Then Saturday from 10am till 9pm and Sunday 10am till 1pm.
The Brophy's pop up show will then move to Cloncurry next weekend.
