The much-loved group known to all and sundry as MITS has not performed since early March, having to into hibernation during the COVID-19 pandemic but say the bills have kept coming in.
"We are missing the stage, we are missing our patrons, we are missing our friends and we are missing being part of our community," MITS said on their Facebook page.
"The problem is, even though we aren't performing (and covering costs) our bills just keep coming in".
MITS said their insurance bill alone was over $7000 and they have called on their supporters to help out.
"Can you please help us pay our insurance bill?" MITS said.
"It wont make you laugh (or cry), it wont fill your bellies (or your glasses), but it will help us keep on going until we can do that again."
A GoFundMe page has already raised $2000 towards the target.
