Police said that at 10.15pm on Saturday September 5, a car was intercepted on Duchess Road, Mornington for a roadside breath test.
The male driver was unlicensed and returned breath test reading of 0.204 BAC which is four times over the general alcohol limit.
The 35-year-old Mount Isa man was charged with driving a motor vehicle without a drivers licence and driving under the influence of liquor.
He is due to appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on September 23.
