The CMMF cancelled its annual even in August but was approached by the Cloncurry and District Race Club to host a rough stock rodeo after the Spring Races on Saturday September 12.
CMMF Secretary Carlie Remfrey said the committee pulled together and organised the event in two weeks.
"We held a bull ride, bronc ride and ladies barrel race, however competitor numbers were heavily restricted due to COVID-19 regulations," Ms Remfrey said.
"We had 19 bronc riders, 14 bull riders and 10 barrel racers, so it was first in, best dressed for nominations."
Ms Remfrey said the tickets for rodeo and races were sold as a package, with only racing patrons in attendance at the rodeo.
"When the races finished at 5.30pm everyone moved from the track to the rodeo grounds and the rodeo started at 6.30pm," she said.
"Tickets sold out in the first day and spectators loved it. We have received feedback that it was a great little rodeo. It was exciting and good for the town.
"It was definitely a boost for the town, we wanted to do it for the community."
Winners included:
Saddle Bronc 1: Jake Curr on 74 points, 2: Jordan Iker 67, 3: Hamish Lamont 64, 4: Lachlan Shepherd 61.
Bull ride 1: Donovan Rutherfurd on 74 points, 2: Darcy Harrison 71.5, 3: Bryn Francis 71, 4: Jake Curr 65.

"The Merry Muster are just so thankful for our sponsors who came on board and willing to support us again even though we couldn't have our big rodeo," Ms Remfrey said.
"The next two weekends also have events and I have a feeling nominations will fill fast for those too.
"Julia Creek Rodeo is a fundraiser for Ron Wall's family a local stockman who has recently passed and the Burke and Wills Rodeo will be the following weekend."
