The 2020 LMC Cup was held on August 30 and sported over 72 golfers for the one day tournament.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Doctor Jos Pouesi has hosted the event, with all proceeds donated to a Mount Isa charity.
"This year we decided to donate the funds to the local branch of the Salvation Army who do a lot of good for the homeless and disadvantaged in the Mount Isa community," Dr Pouesi said.
"This was the biggest the event has been, and has been steadily growing over the past four years since its inception."
Salvation Army's Natalie Steele said the money would go towards local programs.
"We have a ladies craft group that meets on a Wednesday morning, so it will go towards buying paints and canvases and things we need for that," Ms Steele said.
"As well as our Crossroads program, which is a free community meal that we have on Thursday nights and we host that in conjunction with Isa Community Church and Baptist Church at the Salvos."
The LMC tournament was originally scheduled for June, but due to COVID-19 restrictions the event was postponed.
"We decided it would be best for players and sponsors to postpone the event until socialising rules were a little more relaxed.
"This year we had a full field of nominations including two players from Julia Creek and players on the waiting list.
"We received a lot of positive comments regarding the day. I think everyone had an enjoyable day, even though some of the scored might reflect otherwise."
The overall winner on the day was Craig Denham with a Nett 67 (on countback) winning over $6000 worth of prizes including a set of golf clubs.
After the prize presentations, there was also a Chuck 'n Putt competition which was won by Jason Crockett from MC Scaffolds who donated his winnings to the charity.
Dr Pouesi thanked Bell & Moir Toyota, Mount Isa Mining Supplies, Floorworx, MC Scaffolds, Thrive Rural, Jakeman Constructions, Pharmacy First, Isa Ten Pin Bowling, Sunset Butchery and Conrad McElligott for their sponsorship for this year's event.
Next year's event will be scheduled for June.
