Stop the namecalling of the Premier
I have been listening to and reading the comments and name calling of our Premier and her actions during this very difficult period.

Very few of us living today have been through such rough times not just in Queensland but all around the world.
That certainly applies to our decision makers at a Federal, State and Local Government level.
By all means let's have a discussion as to how our Civic Leaders have handled the situations.
But please, let's not resort to the disgusting personal abuse and attacks that we have witnessed by the anti Labor forces against our Premier over the last couple of weeks.
These people, some in elected positions, simply don't know the woman.
I have known Annastacia Palaszczuk for many years- she is kind, caring and compassionate.
Let us discuss the performance of our leaders but don't use personal insults.
During these very difficult times, Queenslanders can compare our situation with that of other
places and surely we can feel a great sense of pride in our leadership team.

We should get behind the purchase of CuDeco
I find it rather difficult to comprehend in light of current economic circumstances that our local State Member is pushing for the Foreign Investment Review Board to enquire into the acquisition of this previously owned mine at CuDeco's Rocklands mine.
Furthermore won't this sale benefit the local community in employment opportunities, increase in revenue for other associated businesses?
I thought this is exactly what should be happening rather in delaying an opportunity for further growth, not RED tape for delays.
Do some homework please Mr. Robbie Katter.

Thank you, Queensland for supporting the Daffodil Day Appeal
I am writing to thank Queenslanders for supporting this year's Daffodil Day Appeal.
The Daffodil is the international symbol of hope for all those affected by cancer.
On average, one Queenslander is diagnosed with cancer every 20 minutes. Your support means we can be there for Queenslanders every minute, every hour and every day.
All funds raised through the Daffodil Day Appeal will be reinvested into vital cancer research, looking into better treatment options and early detection methods to ensure no one faces cancer alone.
Even though COVID-19 changed the way the Daffodil Day Appeal looked in 2020, we can't thank Queenslanders enough for getting behind the campaign and raising much needed funds for cancer research.
It's our mission to reduce the burden of cancer and we are dedicated to ensuring that the 29,000 Queenslanders diagnosed with cancer each year have the best prospects of successfully treating and surviving their diagnosis.
Since Daffodil Day started 34 years ago survival rates have drastically improved because of advances in cancer prevention, screening and treatment - an achievement all of us can be proud of.
Despite this, there is still a long way to go and we will continue investing in research until we reach a cancer free future.
Thank you for helping us spread hope this Daffodil Day Appeal - every donation made will save lives.
Ms Chris McMillan
CEO, Cancer Council Queensland
