Police have charged a number of Mount Isa teenagers following a recent series of offences including stealing motor vehicles.

On September 12, a 16-year-old Mount Isa boy was arrested for allegedly entering a yard in Barton Street, Mount Isa, on two occasions where a motorcycle was stolen and allegedly unlawfully used.
It will be alleged that the boy road the motorcycle on Walton Avenue and allegedly entered another two yards in Tadman Avenue and McCarthy Avenue.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with wilful damage, stealing, three counts of trespassing, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and was subsequently charged with driving of a motor vehicle without a driver licence, driving an unregistered vehicles and driving an uninsured vehicle and not wearing motorbike helmets.
It will be alleged that the teen obstructed a police officer and contravened a direction or requirement to provide his name and address, failed to provide specimen of breath (road side) and failed to provide breath for analysis.
The teen will appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on October 8.
On September 13, a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy were arrested for entering the same address on Barton Street, Mount Isa where it will be alleged a motor vehicle and house keys were stolen from the premises and a gate was allegedly damaged.
The boys were charged with enter premises and commit and indictable offence, unlawful use of motor vehicle, wilful damage.
During the arrest, it will be alleged the boys obstructed an officer.
