McKinlay Shire Council have released drone photographs of the work on Julia Creek's famous "wine glass" water tower.
Council said the photos were taken by Pensar Infrastructure Group who have the contract to do the refurbishment works in the last couple of months.
"As Pensar continues refurbishment works that will extend the service life of our 'wine glass', residents of Julia Creek are reminded that while these works are taking place, low water pressure and some water outages can continue to occur due to fluctuation in the energy grid and on-site power use," Council said.
Built in 1971, the 30m high tower sports its distinctive shape to enhance water pressure and to cool the artesian water that comes out of the ground at 60°C.
Council appreciates your patience and understanding while these works are finalised over the next few weeks.
