Police said that at 12.10am on October 4, police intercepted a vehicle along Fisher Drive, Sunset.
The driver was breath tested and allegedly returned a reading of 0.151.
A 28-year-old Sunset man was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and was issued with an immediate suspension of licence.
He will appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on October 21.
Meanwhile police are investigating two vehicle thefts this week.
Police said that at 1am on October 4, unknown offender/s entered an unlocked door of a residence on Moffatt St, The Gap and removed keys to a vehicle from the living room.
They drove away in the vehicle using the stolen keys.
Also at 11.30pm on October 4, a vehicle was stolen from an address on Rosevear Road. The vehicle was unsecured and the keys were in the vehicle at the time. The vehicle was seen reversing from the residence, hitting a fence and then hitting another vehicle in the street as it drove away.
Investigations into both matters are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
