That also means the return of cricket to the Isa with the 2020-21 season starting this weekend.
Covid played havoc with the 2020 season with restrictions arriving just as the Mount Isa Cricket Association was planning its grand final forcing the game to be cancelled and the 40 over competition awarded to minor premiers Black Stars.
The pandemic has forced a change to the upcoming season with the 40-over competition scrapped and all games will be in the shorter T20 format.
The four Mount Isa teams will all return for this season and the MICA has produced a preliminary draw for the first three weeks of the season starting on Saturday with a rematch of the cancelled grand final between Black Stars and Panthers.
The draw for rounds 1 to 3 is as follows (all games at Captain Cook Oval):
Oct 17 Cavaliers v Western Bulls 10am Panthers v Black Stars 2pm
Oct 24 Western Bulls v Black Stars 10am Cavaliers v Panthers 2pm
Oct 31 Western Bulls v Panthers 10am Cavaliers v Black Stars 2pm
