A 75-year old man has died after a traffic crash including a road train and a vehicle towing a caravan on the Barkly Highway.

The accident occurred between Mount Isa and Cloncurry on October 15 at 11.21am, 60 kilometres east of Mount Isa on the Barkly Highway.
It is believed the man was towing a caravan before he swerved off the road.
Investigations are continuing.
QAS responded to the scene with paramedics and critical care unit.
The highway between the Mary Kathleen jump-up and Fountain Springs remains closed.
