Temperatures averaged around 40 degrees from Monday to Thursday - about five degrees warmer than average but they will go down as some moisture enters the air towards the weekend.
There will be a slight (30%) chance of a shower on Thursday afternoon and evening in Mount Isa with the chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.
Friday will be partly cloudy and a high (70%) chance of showers with the chance of a thunderstorm and falls of up to 6mm.
The forecast of storms on the weekend has meant the Wonderland Under the Stars event will more indoors to Buchanan Park.
Saturday will be partly cloudy with a medium (50%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening.plus the chance of a thunderstorm.
Saturday is also the day with the highest rainfalls with up to 10mm forecast.
There is also a 20pc chance of rain on Sunday.
Maximum temperatures will go down to 34 degrees on Friday and stay that way for the rest of the forecast period.
