In August Ballard took out the leading Queensland country jockey for 2019-2020 with 53 outright winners (and one dead heat), for his sixth win in that category.
Now Ballard has won the leading country jockey award at the 2020 TAB Queensland Thoroughbred Awards announced this week.
"I'd like to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all the people who helped me make this a successful 12 months," Ballard said
"Thanks to the owners and my family for the support and encouragement and to the trainers thanks for putting faith in me and to the other riders who make winning this premiership so special."
The country horse of the year was shared between the Jay Morris-trained Mount Isa sprinter Tango Rain (Manhattan Rain-Tango Fire) and Bollente (Sizzling-Dabrowski) from Ray Hermann's team in Winton.
They won 17 races between them during the past racing season.
