Ms Smith said a "Katter-backed Labor Government" was putting lives at risk in the Richmond Shire and an LNP government would prioritise an ambulance station for Richmond.
"If I am elected, I will be a strong voice for Richmond in an LNP government," Ms Smith said.
"I will be fighting to make sure this town does not have to wait up to 40 minutes for an ambulance."
Richmond Mayor John Wharton welcomed Ms Smith's commitment.
"I've been trying to get our local MP to listen to our pleas for over 12 years, and our community is at breaking point," said Cr Wharton.
"This delay is putting lives at risk. "If Marnie can get us a 24-hour staffed ambulance station, I'll kiss her on both cheeks."
However KAP member for Traeger Robbie Katter, who has been the local MP for eight years, denied anyone had made him aware of an issue with Richmond ambulance services.
"I guarantee you nothing has been formally said and I have zero recollection of it," Mr Katter said.
"If there was an issue, it would have been good to have heard about it in the last few years, I've made a number of visits without that being raised."
Ms Smith said Richmond hosted many overnight visitors as an important accommodation stop between Charters Towers and Cloncurry.
"Sadly, Richmond has not had effective representation, and we know the Brisbane-centric Labor Government doesn't understand what happens west of the Bruce Highway," she said.
"Only an LNP majority government can deliver for Traeger with our plan to stimulate the economy, create a decade of secure jobs and lead Queensland out of this recession."
