Riders from the Mount Isa Dirt Bike Club travelled to the Northern Territory to compete in the Natural Terrain Northern Territory Title and Motocross Northern Territory Title from October 2-4.
Long-serving member Brad Zvaigzne said it was everyone's first time competing in the Northern Territory.
"It was a great experience for us to get away and see it all for the first time," Zvaigzne said.
"Also to compete on a top level, national motocross track was quite good."
The weekend consisted of two titles, the Natural Terrain Title that was held at Pussycat Flats, about an hour north of Katherine at Pine Creek and the Motocross Title that was held at the newly built track in Katherine.
Zvaigzne said all riders took the competition head on.
"It was fierce, hot paced, hot and dusty. We matched pretty well and we all rode at the pointy end of all our classes which was good to see.
"I think Mitch came away with the win and Jean were some of the stand out rides for the weekend."
