Since then Tasmania and Western Australia have returned to the fold Tasmania and Western Australia with 4946 walkers, joggers, runners and volunteers taking part in the 5km timed event every Saturday morning. Parkun Australia now says they will reopen parkrun in the ACT this weekend as an initial six-week trial while in South Australia, parkrun events will reopen in SA on November 21. But there remains no firm date for the two big northern states, with Mount Isa and Cloncurry both missing their parkruns. "We are still in discussions with the Queensland and New South Wales governments regarding approval to reopen parkrun in those states," Renee Gimbert, Territory Manager, parkrun Asia Pacific said. Parkrun has not run in Cloncurry (or Mount Isa) since March 14.
