Police said that on November 7 at around 11:30pm two males allegedly entered the Shell service station on Camooweal St with their faces covered with masks, and one of them armed with a knife.
"The pair made threats towards the male attendant who then gave them the cash register as well as cigarettes. The males then fled the scene," a police spokesperson said.
"Ongoing investigations led to two boys aged 16 and 17 from the Mount isa suburb of Mornington being charged with armed robbery."
They will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
