Cloncurry
Cloncurry Shire Council will be presenting its awards at the Community Precinct from 9am to 11.30am, the day itself will feature an afternoon of cricket, musical entertainment and a barbecue from 1pm at the Showgrounds.There will also be a dive-in movie on the evening of Monday January 25 at the pool from 6pm-8.30pm.
Boulia
Boulia starts with a free breakfast followed by the award ceremony at 8.30am at the Shire Hall. They will have their own homegrown Australia Day ambassador Elizabeth "June" Jackson OAM who was a 40-year member of the town's branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association until 2009,
Hughenden
Flinders Shire Council is inviting locals to "Australia Day by the Lake". Slap on your Aussie Pluggers, singlet and shorts and come hang with them at the Hughenden Recreational Lake this Australia Day. BYO blankets and chairs for a free Australia Day celebration with amusements, music yummy food, competitions and water fun to celebrate 2021's theme 'We're all part of the story' from 4-7 pm at Hughenden Recreational Lake. There will be a lamington eating, thong throwing and best Aussie dressed competitions, a jumping castle, giant slide, walk-on water balls and food and drink for sale.
Julia Creek
The McKinlay Shire Council will host its Australia Day Awards, a free barbecue breakfast from 9-11am at Peter Dawes Park. Come along and meet the Shire's Australia Day Ambassador, John Lazarou who is one of the owners of the Coffee Club chain.
Normanton
Carpentaria Shire Council will be hosting a barbecue breakfast in the Normanton Shire Hall from 8am. That will be followed by the awards ceremony at 9am.
Richmond
In Richmond, the Shire Council and State School P&C are combining to host the Australia Day presentation. There will be a community breakfast in the undercover area of the state school from 7.30am. The award ceremony will begin at 8.30am. The Christmas lights and Decorate Your Gates winners will also be announced.
Winton
Events kick off with breakfast at 7am at the Council Supper Rooms followed by the awards ceremony at 9am at the Shire Hall. That will be followed by the Great Australian Bites at 10am with special guest Humphrey B Bear. Then at 2pm the action moves to the pool for the pool party with lots of activities throughout the afternoon,
