Prime Minister Scott Morrison has arrived in western Queensland Tuesday spending the day in the region in three towns.
The PM touched down in an RAAF jet in Quilpie before he heads on to Winton and he will finish the day in Cloncurry,
The PM is understood to be accompanied in Cloncurry by deputy prime minister Michael McCormack as well as Queensland-based ministers David Littleproud and Scott Buchholz.
It is the PM's second visit to Quilpie having attended the property of a drought-affected farmer shortly after taking office in 2018.
After flying on to Winton, Mr Morrison will finish the day at a reception at the newly revamped Florence Clark Park in Cloncurry.
Mayor Greg Campbell said the prime minister had a special affinity with the area but he did not expect any new announcements during the visit.
