The PM is understood to be accompanied in Cloncurry by deputy prime minister Michael McCormack as well as Queensland-based ministers David Littleproud and Scott Buchholz.
It is the PM's second visit to Quilpie having attended the property of a drought-affected farmer shortly after taking office in 2018.
After flying on to Winton, Mr Morrison will finish the day at a reception at the newly revamped Florence Clark Park in Cloncurry.
Mayor Greg Campbell said the prime minister had a special affinity with the area but he did not expect any new announcements during the visit.
