The forecast for the remainder of Sunday is for cloudy weather with a high (80%) chance of showers, tending to rain at times.
There is also the chance of a thunderstorm, with possible heavy falls.
Much the same conditions are predicted for Monday with 8-15mm of rain while the chance of rain on Tuesday goes down to 50% with falls of 3-8mm.
Falls of between zero and 10mm are predicted for the rest of the forecast period giving the ground a good soaking.
It follows overnight rain in Mount Isa of 69mm to 9am Sunday morning closing all the causeways around town.
The rain began around 7pm and fell steadily through the night.
Cloncurry also had 55.4mm. Julia Creek had 40.6mm, Camooweal had 44.2mm, Lake Julius had 43.8mm.
As of Thursday Lake Moondarra was 67.45% full while Lake Julius was 99.1%.
