The $1m Smart Hub project, located at the site of the former Julia Creek Medical Centre, is jointly funded by Queensland Government's Building Our Regions program and McKinlay Shire Council.
The project has seen the conversion of the old Medical Centre into a digital innovation hub which houses high speed internet, high quality video conferencing facilities and the latest technologies.
The facility has three rooms.
The idea is to stimulate and support economic development in the region.
McKinlay Shire Council say they hope to have memberships available for the Hub by March 1 with membership to cost individuals $20 a month.
The facility will be opened officially on Tuesday, 16 February from 4-5pm at 56 Burke Street.
There will be a tour and afternoon tea.
