Just dances after youths smashed windows at Central State School, Isa Highlanders president Mary-Jane Caldwell said their beautiful dance hall on Wellington Road beside the Netball Courts was broken in to and trashed, in the last 48 hours.
"They have ripped the screens off two windows and smashed their way in, damaged a lot of property including very expensive costumes, and stolen equipment used for dance classes," Ms Caldwell said.
"There is thousands of dollars in damage, and although we have some insurance for the damage, it's not going to come close to covering the cost of upgrading to a stronger security on windows, doors and fences, then we currently have."
Ms Caldwell said they would love feedback from businesses, especially fabricating businesses who may have suggestions on a mesh or bars type structure they could put over windows and doors that is stronger then normal security screens.
"Any ideas would be greatly appreciated," she said.
Police are investigating the break-in.
