The festival kicks off Tuesday with music at venues across town including Winton Shire Hall, North Gregory Hotel, the Australian Hotel and the Winton Hotel while there will be a couple of screenings a day of the documentary Slim and I at the Royal open air cinema.
There will also be a Slim Dusty tribute at the Shire Hall Tuesday night while other highlights of day one include the Rise Up new artists showcase at the Hall and Tamworth-winning artist Dean Perrett at the North Gregory.
Action on the main stage kicks off on Thursday with Sara Storer and band, and the Bushwhackers. Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole, Sheppard and the Wolfe Brothers will be performing on Friday night while on Saturday highlights include Casey Barnes, Busby Marou, Daryl Braithwaite and Lee Kernaghan.
The festival continues at venues across town until Sunday.
Organisers said the Mulla Mulla Garden Bar programing was shifted to the North Gregory Hotel and is free entry.
"Some session times at the Winton Shire Hall and Royal Open Air Theatre were altered however your ticket for the shows are still current and will give you access," they said.
"Please have your tickets ready either printed or on phone to avoid any queues."
