Mount Isa City Council has signed up with eNotices, a service offered by the company Council has contracted to print and mail out rates notices, enabling ratepayers who would prefer to receive their rates notices online the opportunity to do so.
People can register their account by going to http://mountisa.enotices.com.au and signing up using their email address and unique eNotices Reference Number.
The eNotices Reference Number will be printed on a special graphic that can be found on the bottom of the most recent rates notice, which is expected to be sent out from Friday, April 9 and should be arriving in letterboxes about a week later.
Council said payment was due by 5pm on Monday, May 10.
Once a ratepayer's eNotices account has been activated, eNotices will notify them via email when their next rates notice has arrived.
They will then be able to view it - and, in the future, any previous notices - through their online eNotices portal.
Notices can then be paid via the methods listed at www.mountisa.qld.gov.au/pay-my-rates
