The Bravehearts 777 in Mount Isa on Wednesday, June 30 is the third of seven marathons across seven Queensland cities and towns over seven days.
Bravehearts' 777 Marathon was created in 2013 as a unique way for individuals to raise money for and awareness of the prevention of child sexual assault and exploitation.
Organisers said normally this challenge sees participants run seven marathons in seven states over seven days.
However due to risks posed by COVID-19, the 2021 edition of Bravehearts' 777 Marathon will look a little different and will travel through seven Queensland towns and cities instead.
The 2021 777 will visit Toowoomba, Brisbane, Mount Isa, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Gold Coast.
People can sign up as a National Runner and do all seven, sign up as a Local Runner and do one or sign up as a Virtual Runner.
Local Runner can register to participate in one or more legs of the Bravehearts 777 as an individual participant, or as part of a team.
It's a $50 registration fee and you'll receive a medal, timing of your run, breakfast or lunch.
Virtual runners will walk or run 7km every day for seven days in seven virtual states, completing the traditional 777 courses virtually from Perth to Gold Coast. You could do this on a treadmill, at the beach, in a park or exploring your local community to complete this virtual challenge and costs $25 or $49 (the latter with a medal).
The exact Mount Isa course has yet to be revealed but local runners can choose a distance from 7km, 14km, 21km and 42km.
