Copperstring 2.0 power transmission and "make-money infrastructure" is what he believes will reduce energy costs for major mines and refineries in the north west but there was no commitment from the Commonwealth to these projects.
"I erroneously believed funding would be in the budget but CopperString isn't all deterred so it allays my fears," Mr Katter said.
"But I am trying to understand why you would ignore an opportunity to further open up the precious metal resources out in north-west Queensland; this would be a great economic enabler for the state and also the country as we go through our COVID-19 recovery. I'm going to have one on one discussions with Treasury departmental officials."
He was happier with announcements for telecommunications upgrades for black spots for places such as Dajarra and Mornington Island and satisfied with continued funding for the Hughenden Irrigation Project (HIPCO), Big Rocks Weir and Hells Gates Dam.
"The telecommunications (funding) is very relevant to us, there's about 20 towns in the Gulf and far west where poor telecommunications come up all the time," he said.
"People just can't use their internet because it was too slow.
Mr Katter was pleased at the new reinsurance funding for Northern Australia though concerned it will not be available until next year
"Julia Creek is paying ten times what they are paying down south for insurance, they are being punished for the cyclones on the east coast a thousand kilometres away," he said.
"But it's important to note its happening after the federal election. It's now a major priority for the KAP to ensure that this reinsurance pool is not derailed. I will be working closely with the local brokers to ensure we get the right outcome (and) I'm placing the government on notice."
There was also $65 million progressive incentive schedule to increase bulk billing payments for doctors based on remoteness.
"One of the big ones for us is this private medicals for doctors, their most common fee will be significantly increased and that's very important for us," Mr Katter said.
