After the cancellation of the 2020 event the show is raring to go says Mount Isa Show president Anne Pittis.
"This is our 39th year of having the Show apart from the one we missed last year," Ms Pittis said.
"It's a great way of giving enjoyment to the community and it is a great way of showcasing the work of amazing people in the arts and photography and crafts."
Ms Pittis said there were a few more rules and regulations to contend with in the pandemic including use of the Queensland Covid app.
"It has made organising a little more difficult but we are keeping up with the changes that happen all the time," she said.
Ms Pittis said there were plenty of old and new attractions once inside.
"We've got Bareback, the band, coming back again and the highlight of this year's show will be the 'Night Of the Horse', which is a major coup as they play to sold-out shows down south," she said.
Dave Manchon's Rooftop Express Show is an event highlight wherever it goes.and with help from Glencore Mount Isa Mines the Night Of The Horse will enable Show audience to experience the variety and adrenaline of a fast-paced Wild West Show.
Night of the Horse will be on Friday and Saturday and admission is included in a show entry ticket.
Ms Pittis said the jumping cars will be there as well as all the fun of sideshow alley and the ring will be full of equestrian events.
"The horses are great and there'll be a little grandstand underneath so people will have the opportunity to come and watch," she said.
And it's still not too late to enter an item in the Show in one of the many categories which will be on display in the pavilion such as photography, cooking, plants, collectables and artwork.
"The bronco branding will also be back in main arena during the day before the Night of the Horse," Ms Pittis said.
Ms Pittis said Mount Isa Show will also have its first showgirl in several years.
"Kim-Maree Burton has done a great job getting our girls organised and the judging will be coming up Thursday night," she said.
"We are also still looking for volunteers for the show, so if you've got three or four hours to spare give us a call and we'll find a spot for you," she said.
There are also expressions of interests for sporting groups looking to fundraise at the show.
