The CCA is a police-run voluntary closed circuit TV registration program which promotes the relationship of police and the community by encouraging Mount Isa businesses and residents to register CCTV systems.
Mr Ryan said police relied on partnerships with the community and this new initiative would help prevent crime.
"Our police are the best they can be when they've got the support of the community and the community providing information to keep the community safe," Mr Ryan said.
"This partnership will deliver not only a great resource for police, with police knowing where the CCTVs are, but also in enhancing engagement through that partnership."

Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll said the CCA had been successfully trialled in other parts of Queensland.
"The evidence is quite amazing both for prevention as well as response," Commissioner Carroll said,
"It's maintaining good evidence as well so you preserve the evidence and you get it quite early and can present it before the courts."
People can register their CCA with police here.
Mr Ryan said the government had also significantly boosted police numbers with 150 officers coming through the northern region though it would be a matter for the police commissioner to determine when and where they were deployed.
"It is a massive investment and in places like Mount Isa which are doing good work but having particular focus on reducing community offending, the commissioner will make some good decisions on that in the future," he said.
