The video promo claimed the series was filmed "in one of the most dangerous places on the planet" which might be an exaggeration but it capped a good few months for Cloncurry.
Cloncurry Shire Council shared the video saying they were excited to see our beautiful part of the world showcased on national and international television.
"Council worked many late nights to pitch our area as a suitable filming location and look where we are," Council said.
Cameras began rolling in April at an undisclosed location near Cloncurry for the latest season with several closures of Chinaman Creek dam.
It was announced in February that season six of Australian Survivor produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Network 10, would take place near Cloncurry, escaping the sandy beaches of Fiji for the harsh Outback.
Cloncurry Mayor Greg Campbell said the community was buzzing with all the extra people in town and expects a major boost to the local economy.
"We estimated that it would be between $4-$5 million boost," he said.
The series is called Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn and features best-selling author Wai Chim and AFL footy legend Gavin Wanganeen.
Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn is coming soon to Channel 10 and 10 Play on demand.
