Mount Isa Show has wrapped up for another year with organisers hailing the success of 8000 people through the gates of Buchanan Park over two days.

With perfect weather on Friday's Show Day, around 5000 people attended the Show and even though Saturday was an unusually cold day in the Isa, around 3000 paying customers came to enjoy the fun.
Mount Isa Show president Anne Pittis said there were plenty of smiles at the end of the day with the surprising biggest problem being a lack of car parking spaces.
"We weren't expecting to have that many people," Ms Pittis said.
"It was the biggest crowd in years."
Ms Pittis said people had been starved of entertainment like shows and fetes in the last year and they were now looking forward to an even bigger show in next year's 40th anniversary show.
"Numbers were down in the local horticultural exhibits but we still had record numbers to the pavilion," she said.
Highlights on the Saturday included the judging of the junior showgirl entrants with organiser Kim-Maree Burton saying it would be back even bigger and better in 2022.
The Night of the Horse show entertained a big crowd at the arena on both nights of the show.
