It's one of the great fixtures of the North West Queensland calendar badly missed in 2020 but the Saxby RoundUp is back for 2021.

The Saxby RoundUp brings some of the best campdrafters and rodeo stars to the remote site, 200km north-west of Julia Creek for four days of lung-busting action.
Action commences Thursday, July 1 at 1pm with a maiden draft that continues on the Friday.
Friday will also see a mini-workout, open draft, juvenile draft, junior draft, junior bull ride and open bull and bronc rides.
The fun begins bright and early on Saturday July 3 at 7am with finals in the open draft, maiden for maiden, maiden draft and best of the best restricted open draft,
That will be followed by action in the rodeo arena with barrel racing, novice bull rides. station buckjump, calf, steer and bullock rides and open bulls and broncs finals.
The event wraps up on Sunday with a novice draft.
There will be camping and catering from Thursday to Monday morning and free entertainment.
To get to Saxby turn on to the Wills Development Road a few kilometres west of Julia Creek.
Travel on this single lane bitumen road for about 19kms, then turn right onto the Millungera/Taldora Road.
This road is bitumen for a lot of the way to Saxby which is about 156km along this road.The last 80 or so kilometres are dirt.
Visitors should stock up with cash, water and fuel in Julia Creek before heading to the Round-Up and to take care on the dirt roads
The Saxby RoundUp goes from July 1-4.
