Pat Callinan's 4x4 Adventures will arrive in late July for about a week, travelling through the region and filming for an episode to air on Channel 10 and WIN TV in early November.
They will be filming in Mount Isa for about three days, highlighting great locations in the area, for season 14 of the show.
Pat will be sharing all of the best local spots to visit, inspiring audiences to pay a visit..
"I can't wait to get back up around Mount Isa again this year," Pat said.
"That country is really something special, but this time we're gonna dive a little deeper."
Cr Peta MacRae, who holds the Tourism portfolio, said she was thrilled Mount Isa and surrounding areas would be highlighted by the show.
"Pat is well-known across Australia, and episodes of his show often draw in more than half a million viewers each, so we very much welcome the news that he will be making his way up to this area next month to showcase the best that Mount Isa has to offer travellers and four-wheel drivers," Cr MacRae said.
"He and his crew may even be sticking around for the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo too, which would be even better."
Mount Isa City Council has an arrangement to use some of their local footage for our own future tourism and marketing materials.
Mayor Danielle Slade said the visit was wonderful news.
"Mount Isa is well known for being the Rodeo Capital of Australia or a mining city, but we are also surrounded by pristine country, and this will be a great opportunity to showcase what Mount Isa has to offer," Cr Slade said.
