That's when the QRL Country Week is happening with Richmond one of five towns preparing to host an Intrust Super Cup fixture for the first time when the Townsville Blackhawks take on the South Logan Magpies.
But there will be a strong Mount Isa interest too.
Under 17 Mount Isa City Coach Nigel Tremain and Mount Isa Country Under 17 Coach Jason Tapu will combine as part of the coaching staff to ready the Under 17 side recently selected from the City Country series.
The team will play the curtain raiser ahead of the Intrust Super Cup game against Central Queenland.
Mr Tremain said word has it the side from Central Queensland is very strong recently winning the Coalfield ashes challenge .
"Which should make for a cracking game with a highly skilled and talented side also selected from Mount Isa," Mr Tremain said.
"Congratulations to all the Isa boys chosen."
