Police are still seeking an offender after an alleged wounding incident in Mount Isa overnight involving two crime scenes.

The incident is believed to have occurred at or near a Barkly Highway hotel at some time on Thursday evening but the incident was not called in to authorities until 12.15am Friday morning at a second location.
"The victim was at a hotel on the Barkly Hwy and he was wounded in the shoulder blade and ankle with non life-threatening injuries," a police spokesperson said.
"He then went to another location where the occupants called police and QAS."
Police said the victim and offenders are known to each other, but no arrests have yet been made with investigations continuing.
Queensland Ambulance Service said a male in his 20s was transported from his private residence to Mount Isa Hospital in a serious but stable condition following an alleged wounding to his back and leg at an unknown location at 12.17am.
