Cungelella Art is the brainchild of Kalkadoon artist Glenda McCulloch and her three sisters Jaunita Doyle, Dale Bruce and Cheryl Perez with contributions from their mum and dad.
Their fabulous work is now on view - and for sale - at a pop up shop on Simpson St next door to Best N Less and will be there until the end of Rodeo Week.
The sisters planned to create the pop up shop this time last year but Covid put paid to those plans but now they are up and running.
Jaunita Doyle said DATSIP (Department of Seniors, Disability Services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships) set the shop up for them.
"It's for all Indigenous artists, so if anyone has paintings they can drop it in and we can sell it for them," Ms Doyle said.
But most of the work is by the four sisters, many of it was on display recently at their exhibition at the Mount Isa Art Gallery at Outback at Isa.
As well as art they also have earrings, mugs, jewels and other artifacts on display.
Jaunita said all four sisters gained the inspiration for their art from their country.
"The colours of the earth, the beautiful sunsets, and the minerals, the granites and quartz, all those beautiful colours you see when you are out on country," she said.
Starting out a few years ago from the back of Glenda's house in Mount Isa, Cungelella designs can now be seen across the world.
Following a collaboration with the fashion label Deadly Denim Cungelella Art designs are appearing on the catwalk of New York fashion week.
Deadly Denim and its owner Perth fashion designer Rebecca Rickard showcased her work in the Big Apple in an exhibit called 'Our Country' featuring artwork by Glenda.
They also collaborated with vegan shoes made by Twoob and as well as global brand Kind Is Cool's founder Amber Wilkinson to do kids t-shirt designs.
The pop up show is open Monday to Friday, this week and next as well as Saturday morning August 7.
