The Zonta Club of Mount Isa held its annual bush poets breakfast on Thursday with returning poets from previous years joined by talented newcomers,
As usual master of ceremonies Keith Douglas came down from the Curry to entertain and amuse with his poems and funny stories.
Zonta Club of Mount Isa said they enjoyed three new poets Gavin Anderson, Nadia Cowperthwaite, and Steve Lamborn while they also welcomed back three loyal favourites - Veronica Griffen, Pat Fennell and Derek Barry.
"This year, Ed Moffitt also sang a few Bush ballads to keep us entertained.," the club said.
"Mostly, though, we thank our amazing MC and Poet Keith Douglas who travels to us each year."
Around 55 people attendance at Terrace Garden in an event that raises funds and awareness for the Zonta Club of Mount Isa.
