An Indian restaurant called Bengali Kitchen is opening tomorrow night at 79 Camooweal St.
The venue may be familiar to many Mount Isans, it is on the site of the old Arvos Tapas Bar which closed down last year.
Two Bangladeshi families are behind Bengali Kitchen and chef Huq said they'll be cooking authentic Indian spicy food including halal options.
Huq's wife Moon Moon said they wanted to create a family-friendly Indian restaurant in Mount Isa.
"This will be a family-oriented place that is welcoming where you can sit with your family and friends and enjoy dinner with your own alcohol," she said.
"This a perfect spot and there is no problem with parking here."
Bengali Kitchen will be open 5pm-9.30pm seven nights a week and is BYO.
Takeaway menu is available and they will deliver to anywhere in town for $4.
