The North West Hospital and Health Service will be hosting a sausage sizzle in conjunction with Mount Isa City Council, Gidgee Healing and Mob FM outside the Civic Centre vaccination clinic in Mount Isa from 11am Friday and everyone is encouraged to join in for a snag, a jab and yarn.
The NWHHS said this event was specifically aimed at raising awareness and vaccination rates among the First Nations population in Mount Isa and giving everyone the opportunity to have a conversation and receive information about the virus and the vaccine, and what it means for our communities.
Everyone is able to be vaccinated at the clinic on Friday, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous persons.
