Mount Isa PCYC has two events that will celebrate "My Mob, Our Stories" through storytelling, dance and yarning.
Special guest speakers at both events include Indigenous cultural performer Luther Cora, Gabriel Willie (AKA Bush Tucker Bunjie) and local footy legend John Doyle.
The first event is this Thursday October 14, "Chillin In The Park" at the Mount Isa Fun Park from 4-6pm
There will be touch game with John Doyle, arts and crafts, games and more and the event is for all ages and families.
There will be group conversations and yarning circles and sausage sizzle and cold water provided.
Then on Friday October 15 from 10am -1pm there will be a Community Workshop at Mount Isa PCYC, 67 Isa Street
There will be yarning about resilience, a chance to connect with mob near and far and being stronger for yourself, your family and our community through learning from one another.
Transport is available, limited seating bookings can be made by calling PCYC 4743 0400.
