The 23rd edition of the much-loved not-for-profit music tour is taking on a fifteen-stop tour schedule with one of Australia's most well-loved singer songwriters, Darren Hanlon, and folk-blues powerhouse Kelly Brouhaha.
Hughenden is on the agenda, as it was in 2019 and producer Eleanor Rigden said this Queensland tour was the closest thing to their original tour from back in 2013.
"It's going to be amazing to head out again with Queensland-based artists who haven't had the chance to check out this part of their own backyard," Ms Rigden said.
"We have fond memories of the scenery, the people, the bakery road stops and of course, the glorious halls."
In Hughenden's case that means the parish hall on Mowbray St.
Gympie-based Darren Hanlon appears in and sings the credits of the new Slim Dusty bio-pic 'Slim & I' and garnering high rotation on ABC with his pandemic themed song 'We All Cope in Different Ways.'
'I'm so excited to have the opportunity to perform in these towns, most of them I've never even been to before,' Hanlon said.
Tour-mate Kelly Brouhaha is a South Australian-born award-winning songwriter.
I'm really grateful to have the opportunity and the privilege to experience Western Queensland with this excellent crew," she said.
